Colorado motorcycle riders that are over the age of 18 are not required to wear a helmet. It’s a well known fact that when motorcycle riders are involved in accidents they are more likely to be seriously injured. Helmets greatly reduce the risk of injury or even death. In the US only 22 states require all riders to wear a helmet regardless of age, 25 have age guidelines similar to Colorado’s helmet law that requires younger riders to wear a motorcycle helmet. While 3 states have no helmet laws at all. If you are ever involved in a motorcycle accident in Colorado, contact a skilled Denver personal injury attorney who thoroughly understands the laws, and the rights of riders.
